So at first I was like, “Wait, but one Stupefy hex wouldn’t affect Hagrid; it says in the books that they had to fire one after another to take him down.”

And then I realized…what if Hagrid was just faking? What if he knew that the best thing for Harry was to be with Sirius? What if he knew how horrible Petunia was because obviously Lily talked about her some of the many times that she came to his hut for tea? And Hagrid didn’t want to disobey Dumbledore. But he also wanted to do what was best for Harry. And so he fell to the ground. And let Sirius take him.
